Who We Are
Hofmann & Co.
Founded in 1984 in Melbourne by Fred Hofmann, the company was a wholly-owned family business. It earned its reputation by supplying equipment and raw materials to the Cable, Plastics and Packaging industries in Australia and New Zealand.
TCL Hofmann
TCL Hofmann was formed in December 2004 through the acquisition of Hofmann & Co. by TCL Australia Pty Ltd. TCL Australia Pty Ltd were the Australian side of the New Zealand company TCL Marketing, that has been operating in New Zealand since 1937 as a major supplier of raw materials and finished products to NZ Manufacturing Sector. The merger of Hofmann & Co. and TCL Australia was seen as a good fit for both companies and created the new company in Australia to be known as TCL Hofmann.
These days TCL Hofmann has established a Head Office in Melbourne and also has offices in Sydney. Over time our success has dveloped from offering the highest levels of service, quality and integrity to our customers.
Our sister company TCL Marketing has offices in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington.
What We Do
A trading company, we import and distribute a wide range of high quality technical products (raw materials, semi-finished goods, spare parts and equipment) from around the globe to many differing industries.
The company provides a complete after sales service and ensures that customers achieve the maximum benefits from utilising our superior quality materials and technology.

Company Milestones
1937 - TCL Marketing (NZ) is incorporated as an importer of industrial raw materials
1984 - Hofmann & Co. is founded by Mr Fred Hofmann in Australia, servicing both the Australian & New Zealand markets
1993 - United Pacific Corportation, a private investment group, purchase TCL Marketing
2000 - TCL Australia (100% owned by TCL Marketing) is created. An office is opened in Sydney.
2004 - TCL Australia acquire TCL Hofmann in December. TCL Hofmann is formed with head office in Melbourne and offices in Sydney.
2009 - TCL Hofmann acquire the company Handelsons Pty Ltd in February, a family business operating in Sydney for over 20 years in the Plastics Equipment Industry. Interim company TCL Hofmann-Handelsons begins operation from the premises at Leichardt, Sydney.
